Image is not displaying in Excel [message #262038]

Hi everybody,

Image is not displaying after exporting the report to excel.
while the image is displaying in pdf, word and powerpoint.
only in excel output image is not displaying

i tried with both birt 2.2.0 and 2.2.1

can anybody plz help to solve this issue.

Currently BIRT does not support image preview in excel.

Download Tribix xls emitter and use it instead of BIRT xls emitter.

The steps for including Tribix Excel Emitter are included below.

1) Download birt-runtime-2_2_0.zip and extract it.
2) Remove the jar
" org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.emitter.prototype.excel_2.2.0 .v20070621.jar "
from plugins directory.
3) Extract the Tribix Excel Emitter jar "xls-emitter-bin_2.2.0.zip" to
\birt-runtime-2_2_0\ReportEngine folder.
4) Run the report.

The above mentioned steps are applicable only BIRT version 2.2.0.
