Jim,
It's very unfortunate that p2 doesn't currently support specifying a
mirror for which you need to log in first. The friends thing is great
for downloading the packages directly from the website (I use it for
that myself and donated $60) but not yet good for using with p2. It
says so on the page now. Do you think this statement is clear enough or
should it say explicitly that use with the update manager/p2 is not support?
This Friends Mirror is only available for downloads through our website.
We're sorry you're ticked off and I can fully understand why you'd find
it annoying.

I'm sure you could contact PayPal and ask them to cancel or revoke the
payment you submitted. I doubt that Eclipse Foundation would fight it.
And, by the way, don't bother coming back here to ask for our free help
unless/until your attitude shows a marked change. I, for one, am not
interested in giving away my time and knowledge to someone who is
clearly ungrateful for what this community has produced or has to offer.

I agree with Eric. When I donate money, I don't expect anything in return
even if I'm told I will get something. I donate to Eclipse because I use
the software and the mailing list (in case I do have a question, which
happens on occasion). If $35 was too much to donate to the group that
makes/updates the FREE software you use, then by all means do as Eric says
and contact Paypal to stop the payment and don't bother using the mailing
list since you are obviously not a Friend of Eclipse.
