Hello,

the NatTable is an essential component of several of our UIs and we appreciate its rich set of features, its felxibility and performance.

Whenever we needed to fix a bug or change the table's behaviour in the past, we accomplished this by replacing the respective class/classes with cutomized or patched versions of our own.

Unfortunately this makes it a bit more difficult to upgrade to newer versions of the project, as we need to keep our changes consistent with the latest changes in the project.

Therefore being a committer would make it easier for us to keep in sync with the project sources by contributing our changes directly to the project's codebase.

Apart from what's stated here https://eclipse.org/membership/become_a_member/committer.php, what are the recommended steps to be taken for being accepted as a committer at the NatTable project?

Thanks,
Frank

Well you should first become a contributor before you can become a committer. So you should for example answer questions on the forum and more important contribute to the sources, e.g. bugfixes or new features. We have setup Gerrit to make it easy to contribute. After some good contributions you can become a committer if the vote succeeds.
