Jboss as Default server in Eclipse [message #254123] Thu, 17 April 2008 08:00 Go to next message

Hi

I have downloaded Jboss IDE for eclipse and also configured a new server
using the Servers View.

I am using Eclipse3.3.2 and JBoss5.0.0. I am able to start JBoss from the
command prompt.

Now I have 2 problems

1) I am not able to see anything in the dropdown box in
window->preferences->JBoss-IDE-Launcher to select this JBoss as my default
server.

What should be done?

2) When I right click on the server in Servers view and say 'run' , I get
a error message saying server didnot resond in 50 sec..
How can I change this timeout period because my JBoss is taking around
1min 20sec to start(from command promt).

Thanks
Susmitha

In the server view, double click the server you added. You should see
the Overview page. There is a place to set "Timeouts" (which is 50s by
default).

Hi

Thanks for the reply...

But there is still one question unanswered...

I am not able to see this server in the
window->preferences->JBoss-IDE-Launcher->default sever dropdown box....

or is there any other way set this server as the default server so that I
can use the toolbar icons to start,stop my server.

Thanks

Hi

The problem here is that when I try to deploy an application by right
click on the project and go to 'Deploy to' , I cannot see anything in the
'Target Choices' dialog ..

How can I deploy the app now?

Thanks

If I'm reading this properly, you're mentioning a preferences page that
is not standard Eclipse, but rather is a preference page for the JBoss
IDE. Your question should be posed on a JBoss IDE forum.

Good luck,

Wayne
