Display full file path easily? [message #250769] Mon, 03 March 2008 22:11 Go to next message

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is an option to have eclipse display the full
file path to the selected resource in the titlebar? I have multiple
release versions of the same project on my machine and find myself
switching between them quite often. The only way to tell which workspace I
have open is to click on something, bring up the properties, and look at
the "Location".

It would be very handy to simply have this displayed in the title bar.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Alex

Hi Alex. On my system, it displays the path of the selected resource in
the status bar in the lower left. In the Package Explorer, it shows the
Java Package name of the .java files and the relative path (from the
workspace) for other resources. In the Navigator view, it seems to show
relative path for all files. Is that what you're looking for? Hope this
helps. Mark

Include -showlocation on the command line used to start Eclipse. This
will display the workspace location in the title bar of the window.
