Manhattan Router with bendpoints support. [message #240792] Thu, 17 January 2008 09:08

Hello,

I am using following versions of Eclipse and GEF,
Eclipse Version: 3.2.2
Build id: M20070212-1330
GEF:3.2.2v20070208

I have a requirement for orthogonal connections and bendpoint support.
I have used the Manhattan router for orthogonal connections.
For bendpoint support, I have written the bendpoint edit policy so that
the orthogonal connections are always maintained.

The Manhattan router itself introduces bends which are only at the view
level (connection points) and not propagated to the model (connection
model).Hence I had to modify the code so that the router's bendpoints are
propagated to the model as well.

But with this combination my reconnect feature has becomes quite
unpredictable. It works great sometimes, or throws IndexOfBounds exception
at times while showing reconnect feedback, or at times it introduces non
orthogonal/skewed lines.

Is there any support provided in GEF for orthogonal connections with
bendpoints support?

Regards,
Swapnaja.
