How do I wipe the registry [message #240215]

Is there a way to tell Eclipse to wipe the "./configuration/.registry"
file clean ? Eclipse damages this file during the update process and I
would like to wipe it to be able to restart the workbench smoothly.

This is surprising. It has probably been fixed in the later version of
eclipse. Anyway you probably want to start with -clean.

I'm working with Eclipse 3M8... and I was searching an API to wipe the
registry ( because the error in the registry prevents a smooth web
update of my RCP ). I "solved" the problem by adding a cleanup routine
in the "Startup.jar" loader, but this doesn't seem to be a clean sollution.
