How turn off hiding of file extensions in editor tabs? [message #1367598]

Hi, I'd like to show the file extensions on the tabs for files opened in the editor, but haven't found a way to do so in the preferences. Is there a way to do this? Only thing I found so far searching was it was an added feature many years ago. Thanks!
