Hi Frans
JWT aims to provide a technology-independant business process tooling
platform.
This independance is actually what makes it different from other similar
initiatives, such as Eclipse STP's BPEL or BPMN projects.
As a matter of fact, it means it will be able to support XPDL (which is
Shark's busines process language) and not be limited to the more
restricted BPEL standard.
Similarly, it will be able to support several different representation
models, including the well-known BPMN standard but also other, more
business-specific ones.
For now JWT gathers a few core partners from among the world and their
initial core contributions. As Fabrice said, we've had some difficulties
mostly on organisational level, but we're now trying to gain momentum
again. Some new partners, both companies and academics, should help us
towards this goal.
