I want to see the manifest information of a loaded JAR file [message #22578] Tue, 28 March 2006 18:43

The "properties" context menu choice for a jar file within a project
allow me to specify Javdoc or Source location, but do not include any of
the manifest properties.

There is apaprently no built-in support for opening a jar file as a
zipped file in order to browse its hierarchy and manifest file

The eclipse Navigator does not seem to provide me with any means of
seeing the JAR manifest info.
- version
- package

Interestingly the built in compare editors seem to know how to look at
the contents as a zip file and therefore allow me, by selecting two jar
files, to compare two manifest files or the package contents just one
level down

Suggestions?
