Hi all,

Yesterday I upgraded my Ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04 and eclipse stopped working.

I've been using both Eclipse Juno (downloaded from Liferay, including Liferay IDE ) and Eclipse Kepler (downloaded from eclipse.org). Both versions were working well with jdk 1.7.0.51 from Oracle. I have since tried with the Ubuntu OpenJdk (1.7.0.51), the new version 1.7.0.55 and also with 1.8.0.5. The simptoms are the same.

After the upgrade, both versions of eclipse just close shortly after opening the main window.

Tried to run with "-consoleLog" but

Framework arguments: -product org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product
Command-line arguments: -os linux -ws gtk -arch x86_64 -product org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product -consoleLog but messages seem inconclusive:

No hs_err*.log file is being generated, so I'm not sure it's a JVM problem. Othe Java software, like tomcat, is working well.

Any ideas?

TIA

Fernando
