I would like to understand how to make a connection to the java code from Birt and also how the report works with the code.

There is a forum specifically for BIRT; try asking your question there. Look on the forums home page, under the section "Eclipse Projects."
I also suggest providing some more details; the way you've written it makes it hard for anyone to understand what your asking.
