Hey,

I just updated Jubula to version 7.2 but now I have a problem:

In the old version 7.1 there was a toolbar with all the important Buttons (Connect to AUT Agent, Disconnect from AUT Agent, Start AUT...)

Now in the new version I can't find this toolbar anymore and so I am not able to connect to the AUT Agent and to run my tests!

Regarding the User manual I found following:

3.34.3 Customizing the Perspective

In most cases, the button to start AUT's is not included in the
main toolbar. The following steps describe how to add this
button to a Perspective's toolbar:
1. Select:
Window → Customize Perspective...
from the main menu.
2. In the dialog that appears, select the Command Groups
Availability tab.
3. Ensure that the entry Start AUT in the section Available
command groups: is checked.
4. Close the dialog by pressing the OK button.
Once you have completed the steps listed above, the Start
AUT button should be visible in the main toolbar of the active
Perspective.

So "Customize Perspective" does not exist!?
Also I am wondering why the shortcuts(Ctrl+_Shift+C and Ctrl+R) do not work in my new version 7.2??

Hi Nicole,

That's very odd, I haven't heard about that before. The first thing that comes to mind is - have you used a new workspace? If you used the old workspace, it's possible that changes we made have led to the perspective being different (perhaps the buttons are on the right hand side instead?). I'd definitely try to use a new workspace, as descried in the migration information.

The documentation you found relates to using launch configurations in the Eclipse plugin, so it's ok that you can't find "customize perspective".

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I followed the migration information and have used a new workspace!

With the use of short cuts I now managed to connect at least to the AUT Agent (Ctrl+Shift+C) but when trying to Start AUT (Ctrl+R) nothing happens!

Solved the problem now by updating to the newest java version and deleting all old jubula files before I installed the new version again!
Now everything works again Smile
