Hello,

how can I make a self-containing compartment? - a compartment that has as
compartments itself (from the same type).

for example Element A is a compartment and the user would be able to
create the following compartments (and continue to do it recursively):

==A=================
= =A==== =A==== =
= = = = = =
= = = = = =
= ====== ====== =
====================

Should I change also the ecore model? Element A to have as an attribute
many children of itself?

Thank You,
Nikolay

Yes. In addition see http://wiki.eclipse.org/GMF_MapModel_Hints#Endless.2Frecursi ve_hierarchies
+ GMF tutorials describing inner nodes.
