As soon as I try entering a module name, no matter what I type, it
displays the error "Module name is invalid." at the top of the dialog box.

I've been unable to export projects as a WAR file using 3.3 (Europa) or
3.2. I am able to do it under 3.1 however. I've STFW extensively only to
find similar questions left unanswered. I'm running Ubuntu 7.04. Any
ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rick,

You should not edit the "Web module" field in a normal case.
The "Web module" name references to an existing and open Dynamic Web Project
in your workspace. This is why you have a drop-down list where you can
select from all open Dynamic Web Projects in your workspace.

If you give a name in the "Web module" field that does not reference an
existing project, or references a project that is closed, or references a
project that is not a Dynamic Web Project, then the "Module name is invalid"
error is displayed.

If you need different Context Root for your web project and this is why you
try to export it with different name, then you can change the Context Root
with the following steps:
1. Right-click on the web project in the Project Explorer.
2. Choose Properties.
3. Go to the "Web Project Settings" page.
4. Change the value of the Context Root field.

Greetings,
Kaloyan
