Delete key is not working in Navigator view of RCP plugin of eclipse. [message #1222386]

In our RCP application, on right-clicking a project/file in navigator view, menu opens which has Delete option. After selecting Delete option it asks for confirmation of Delete action. But on pressing 'Delete' key nothing happens.

Any pointers in regard of this query are really appreciated.
