Hi Everyone;
Sorry for the newbie post. I have an Eclipse installation that freezes up
at times. I am unsure how I should troubleshoot the problem. Could I use
TPTP to help me explore where the freeze is coming from? Is there a general
end-user document on how I can use TPTP to find out where bottlenecks are
occurring? I took a look at the documentation link on the TPTP homepage,
but I did not really find anything that pertains to my problem. Is anyone
aware of any Eclipse Performance Tuning documents out there that I can have
a look at to possibly tune my Eclipse installation?
Much appreciated.

Hi Everyone;
I took a look at the documentation and bit more and watched the videos.
It does seem like TPTP is what I would need to use in order to help me
troubleshoot my problem. However, I was hoping for more of a high level
view ... i.e. "If you tweek this configuration option, then it will boost
performance." It appears TPTP is just another permutation of JProbe. With
TPTP, I can find out which methods are taking a long time. But, how can I
translate a method into tangible setting that I can use to tune my Eclipse
performance? I need some sort of connection between "methods" and "tuning
parameters." Any ideas?
