Hi,

Since Apache Ant is well integrated into Eclipse, are you planning to
massively support Apache Maven too?

Current third-party eclipse plugins like the promising mevenide are
clearly not production-ready and, IMHO, it is currently a *nightmare* to
work with it.

Anyway, I like Eclipse and it seems to me that Apache Maven and its
shared repositories opens a great new way to resolve common building and
project dependencies-libraries versionning-classpath garbage issues.

What do u think about it?

Hi,

I like the idea and had a look at bugzilla. So I found this one
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=72663

There should be some more information in the bug report. It has not been
changed to assigned or even been answered since end of August.

Of course with Eclipse being an open source community, yourself and Renaud
and any others who are interested in this area can work with the Eclipse
committers to convince them that Maven support is important for you and
Eclipse.

The most convincing argument is to provide your time and code / patches

Thanks
Darins

Reopening this thread since Maven 2.0 has been out
Time to reopen https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=72663 too? :)
