Migration from MyEclipse to WTP 1.5 [message #173486] Fri, 07 July 2006 13:39 Go to next message

Hi,

We've used MyEclipse (4.1 with Eclipse 3.1.2) for web development so far.
I'd like to migrate to WTP 1.5 (from the Callisto project).
I've seen many post on this newsgroup about MyEclipse vs Eclipse WTP but
could not find any "howto" telling how to migrate from the former to the
latter.

Because projects properties are stored in XML files, it should be quite
easy to migrate, isn't it ? It should be sufficient to rewrite the files
related to the project, no ? Am I wrong ?

Regards.

I think it's quite like migrating from a WTP to a more recent WTP:
- create a new project
- copy/paste the src and the web-content directories
- copy/pates the CVS, .cvsignore from the root of your project folder
- Configure your servers
it's done
