Hi,
I have Eclipse 3.2 + JST 1.5. When I start my JBoss 4.0.4, it takes longer
then the 50s timeout, Eclipse says: "Timeout waiting for xxx, ... did not
start in 50s". How can I increase this timeout value? Preferences - Server -
Server timeout delay doesn't change the timeout, it's always 50s.
Thanks, Jan

Hello,
I have similar problem with Eclipse 3.2 + JST 1.5. I'm trying to run
Weblogic server from eclipse. Anyway Eclipse says: "Timeout waiting for
xxx, ... did not
start in 75s" (weblogic timeout is 75s instead of 50s in jboss). "Server
timeout delay" in preferences completely doesn't work.
I found file in <eclipse
folder> /plugins/org.eclipse.jst.server.generic.weblogic_1.5.0.v2006 06130315/plugin.xml
which defines timeout value:
startTimeout="75000"
(similar file exists for jboss with value 50000)
Anyway if I try to change this value in plugin.xml, it won't change server
startup timeout at all.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks
Mike

Hi,
I stumbled across the same problem today (Eclipse 3.3.1.1, JST 2.0.1)
and tried modifying the startTimeout in plugin.xml as well. I had to
restart my Eclipse with the option "-clean" to clear the configuration
area, but afterwards the new timeout was applied.
So either you did not clear the configuration area (and the old value
was taken from the cache), or perhaps the problem has been fixed in 2.0.1.
Anyway it would be nice if it was possible to configure the startup
timeout in the preferences without having to mess around with the
plugin.xml.
Best regards
Tillmann
