My cursor suddenly looks like the pipe character key on the keyboard
(vertical line, broken in the middle). What did I do to make it like this?
Is there a reference somewhere where I could have found the answer by
myself?
Thanks,
Brian

This means smart typing is disabled. To enable it again do one of the
following:
- type Ctrl+Shift+Insert
- double-click on "Overwrite" in the status line
- check Edit > Smart Insert mode
