I've used standard-Eclipse for several years, and used
JBuilder/Together...now for my current project, I'm experimenting with
Eclipse WTP.
I built a very simple Web App (Dynamic Web Project), with 4 JSP files.
I've configured a Server profile for my BEA WLS 8.1 server. And I've been
able to start-and-deploy the web app to WLS 8.1 without any problems from
WTP.
One question though - if I make any changes to my JSP files, the only way
I can get the deployed application to reflect this change on the server is
to explicitly stop the WLS server, and fully re-deploy the application
from a cold start. I can't figure out how to deploy on top of a
previously deployed version.
Should WTP support automatic re-deployment on top of a running application
instance in WLS 8.1?
Can it support hot-deploys?
Things I've tried - which did not work...
* Project set to "Build Automatically"
* Build-Automatically unchecked - with a manual Project Clean-All/rebuild
* I've tried Removing the application from the Server
in the Server View tab, and then adding the Project back to the Server
Any suggestions?
