Hi reader,
i've got some trouble re-starting a war packaged .jsp application after
having it succesfully installed.
I am using tomcat 5.5.17 and wst 1.0.2.. To create the .war file i am
using the web tools platform export function.
Installing the war file using the tomcat manager application works well.
Due to having the need for stopping and re-starting the application, i
found out, that re-starting it using the tomcat manager fails with a
null point er exception.
Does anyone of you have had the same probelm and maybe any workaround??
thx
ingo

I have this problem with Tomcat often, and from I've gathered it's
caused by use of commons-logging. Unfortunately, I don't know of any
workaround. Because of this, I'm researching for alternatives to Tomcat.

Hi again,
i've posted that issue to tomcat user list too - but have no reply so
far. I am still not sure whether this problem is tomcat related or
related to wtp and it's way of packing .war files.
It would be nice to hear if any other reader has encountered the same
problems as we (daniel/me) did.....
Maybe it is possible to localize the problem more detailed than.
thx
btw: thx@daniel for your reply..
