How can I patch a Drupal Module with Eclipse [message #1121638]

I installed Eclipse to patch a Drupal module and I followed instructions as on a Drupal instruction page namely,

To apply patches to code using Eclipse:

1. Menu > windows > open perspective > others > team synchronizing
2. Open the patch file, select all text and copy it to clipboard (Ctrl+ C)
3. Menu > project > apply patch
4. Select clipboard, click next, select the file you want to patch, click finish or next to setup patching options.

The problem I had was that at step 4, I did not see any file to select to patch: no files and no file browse buttons.

Please how do i 'select the file you want to patch'.

The system didn't allow me to post the link to the instruction page. I try pasting it again, drupal.org/node/60179

But outside this being a Drupal module, how would one patch any file with Eclipse?
