Hello,

I spend a great deal of time, removing dead wood from RCP apps,
in the orbit repo, there is a small version of com.ibm.cu, called
com.ibm.cu.base, which is about 180k vs de 10 Megabyte from the
original, that's a big saving, if you don't need all that com.ibm.cu
offers. Unfortunately the Kepler RCP feature packages, the fat one.
Any chance this could be reduced?

I would support that, I currently maintain my own RCP feature so I can swap in the base version. The full blown thing is almost as big as the rest of my app put together

I fully agree.

I hate this com.ibm.icu stuff, I don't even think the e4 platform itself
really needs it really but could directly call out to java-counterparts!

File a request, the problem might be that this is a breaking change in
backwards compat!
