Can anybody tell me what it is I did in Eclipse to turn on reverse
(right-to-left) typing?
(siht ekil)
and how I can keep it from ever happening again?

I presume this is for entering Hebrew text strings, or other R-to-L
languages.

BTW, this *totally* screws up Undo and Redo; I tried to recover to a
better state and just dug myself in
deeper.

Thanks,
matuszek@central.cis.upenn.edu

Although I am trying hard to not be a "insensitive clod" can't help
LMAO. :))

Hope you fix it soon.

I've seen this before also. Don't really know what fixed it. It just
finally went away at some point along the M1 -> 3.0 migration. I will
say it is incredibly annoying.

Are you on Windows and have you installed the system support for
right-to-left languages?

My impression also was that the problem vanished in 3.0 - until yesterday,
when it happened again to a coworker.

No, I was on MacOS X 10.3.4.

MacOS X has, I believe, system support for right-to-left languages by
default,
I've never used it. I haven't deliberately installed any Eclipse plugins
that support
this, as far as I know.

O.k. I've just wondered if it might be related to that "Right to
left Reading order" option I find under Windows in the context menu
for standard edit controls... but I can't see it in Eclipse anyway,
I thought it might get switched by some weird key combination.
