Writing a custom server plugin [message #166346] Mon, 10 April 2006 06:43 Go to next message

Hi,

Am trying to write a set of plugins to introduce mgmt. functionality for a
server using WST server API. Was looking around for some tutorial/article on
writing your own server plugins - didn't find much other than the API
itself. The source code for the JST was the other alternative but plouging
through that doesn't look like a simple task.

Any suggestions where to look and what would be a good starting point?

Thanks,
- Devasis

Hi Devasis,

Although I agree that digging through source code is not always a great
solution WTP does include several server adapters you may want to take a
look at for examples.

See

There was a tutorial in EclipseCon that covered server tools and facets
you can download the tutorial material
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2006/Sub.do?id=241 . This should provide a
good starting point
