Hello,
I'm new to Eclipse and Linux development, although I'm not new to
development nor to Linux.
Right now I'm reading the Workbench user guide after installing Eclipse
IDE
for C/C++ Developers Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers (Windows 32 bits
with JRE 32 bits). I use Windows 7, as it is company-wide mandated.
My idea is to use Eclipse to develop C/C++ software for ARM-based Linux
system.
The hardware vendor provides an "IDE" that really is a Cygwin installation
that includes the cross compiler arm-linux-gcc, headers (.h files) and
their system library (libxxxx.a file). II expected an "IDE" to offer at
least an editor with project management capabilities, but that's just me)
How would I go to made this SDK and "IDE" available for my Eclipse?
Any URL or help on what search terms to use are greatly appreciated.
Please let me know if you need further information or clarifications.
P.S.: Please forgive my English, as it's not my first language.

I use Eclipse CDT 3.8 (Juno) in Linux. I have noticed a page of tools accessed via:
Project > Properties > C/C++ Build
Tool Chain Editor
In the section 'Used Tools' there is a button "Select Tools ...", which brings up a list of tools. On my system this includes MinGW CygWin, MacOS X and Solaris. I dont use any of this at the moment, but at some stage I will need to port a project to Windows, so I am interested.
