Hi,

As mentioned in last week's call, this guy, Larry Brilliant (nice name
btw;-) is chairman of Skoll Global Threats Fund
(http://www.skollglobalthreats.org/) I read about from a TED or TEDMed
Retweet.
He or others in the management of this fund specialized on threats like
Pandemics, Nuclear War, Global Warming, etc. seem to be former Google
managing figures. Either a Google spin-off, or one of the many
science-related projects, Google and former Googlers support.

STEM could be of interest to some of the projects they consider funding or
maybe even worth funding itself?;-)

Something a bit older also from TEDMed:

Speak soon,
Werner
