You can also try the EMF subproject Texo, this project is targeted for web server/service environments (although more
using JSON/REST/XML approaches).

Anton,
I know SOAP as an XML-based interchange protocol, but I don't know what
it means to be a SOAP object. What are EMF objects missing in order to
be SOAP objects?
