Does anyone know if there are any plans (and if so when) to support a pure e4 RCP in RAP.

I have seen a few references to it but they all included words like experiment and were a while back.

We are beig encouraged to move to e4 RCP from 3.x but that is no use if RAP will then not be available

Hi Phill,

Unfortunately, E4 does not yet support multi-user environments. Writing
a renderer for RAP is simple, but the e4 bugs collected in [1] are real
blockers.

But there may be an interesting alternative for RAP applications: if we
could support the most important annotations that are used in E4, that
would enable you to write code that runs on Eclipse 4 and also on RAP,
maybe with a different, light-weight UI model. That's something we plan
to look into soon.

Regards,
Ralf
