Hello,
I wanted this to give it another try, please download the pictures I added:
http://www.tryek.de/content/rap-archiv.zip
- Downloaded Juno 64 bit for Mac
- went to this page: http://eclipse.org/rap/developers-guide/devguide.php?topic=getting-started/setup-ide.html&version=1.5
- passed step 1 and 2 successfully
- step 3 already showed me the errors in picture "1 - errors after creating plugin.png" I attached
- anyway I kept on doing following the steps of
http://eclipse.org/rap/developers-guide/devguide.php?topic=getting-started/hello-world.html&version=1.5
here in chapter "Create an entrypoint" there is no template in my case, it only shows the standard shortcut of creating the main-method.
- NOT clear: do I need a main-method or not? You have to assume that a newbe really does not have any idea how to set up a project for RAP, so keep it simple!!!
- I added the main-method, tried to start the class (right-click->run as...)
but here it does not show "Run as RWT Application" , see picture "2 - NO run as RWT applicacion.png"
- so I skipped that, deleted the project and tried the example from this part
http://eclipse.org/rap/developers-guide/devguide.php?topic=getting-started/examples.html&version=1.5
- here the documentation does not say what type I have to choose, see picture
1 - example - docu does not tell if eclipse or osgi.png
2 - example-activator or not.png
- again my recomendation: keep it simple, more pictures, clear steps.
- after that it shows me another error
"3 - example - error after creating project.png"
I am also very surprised that I have now completly different errors.
That was one hour of revision, still frustrated but hoping for help.
Thanks for any advice!
Best
Johannes

Hello Johannes!
I recommend to start over again with vanilla fresh Eclipse IDE. From
screenshot errors "The following software cannot be installed..." I
suggest your Eclipse installation is completely messed up.
Then you should see "Run as -> RWT Application" context menu again and
start RAP programming smoothly.
