Hey guys.
I've tried setting up Preferences to have tabs as tabs, but it doesn't work.
And I need this feature so I can use Eclipse instead of Dreamweaver, which is the classic software in here.
The same way, how can I setup the CTRL+SHIFT+F feature, so tabs are not replaced by spaces, which f***s up the files for comparison.
Thanks for your help, I really don't wanna leave Eclipse.
F.

For which editor in particular are you wanting this? It seems to me
different editors can use different preferences. For Java, for example,
the formatter's Indentation preferences are the important thing so even
if I have a preference for the text editor not to turn tabs into spaces,
the Java editor will still do that (and it seems even the Text editor
opened on a .java file will still do that).

Hi Ed.
I'm using the PHP editor (Indigo PDT).
It was the same on Helios PDT, so I tried with Indigo, same deal.
I don't know if there's some override somewhere that disables the setting in the PHP editor, but i'm stuck with Dreamweaver for as long as I can't find a workaround...

I don't have that installed. Are there PDT editor-specific preferences?
Perhaps it's using some editor from Web Tools and there are specific
preferences for those? There must be a way to enter tabs if you want
them, it's a matter of finding the preferences. Which ones have you tried?

I've tried setting the tabs to tabs in every preferences screen, still the same thing.
I'm in depression...

Can anyone find me a solution ?
I'd like to use Eclipse on a daily basis.
I just want tabs to remain tabs in the editor.
Thanks
