How is Apress RAP book up-to-date/outdated? [message #987418]

Hi alls,
I'm just beginning with RAP and looking around for some good book about it.

1. Could you *still* recommend Apress Eclipse Rich Ajax Plafform by
Fabian Lange (http://www.apress.com/9781430218838)?

It's from 2008 covering RAP 1.1.1 which is pretty old huh... More over
this book is not final (and likely remains such already).

2. Are techniques and concepts explained there still valid?

3. Or is there any other book worth recommending?

Hi Libor,

RAP has evolved a lot since that time, so I doubt that this reading will
set you on the right track. With RAP 2.0, the protocol, lots of API
changes, and our transition to a platform for remote applications, most
of the concepts explained in this book are meanwhile outdated.

The best information you can currently get is our online documentation
[1] including the New and Noteworthy pages [2] and the developer's guide
[3].
