Hi,

I am very much new to TPTP product.
I am writing plugins for eclipse. What is the best way to automate the
test(functionality test- like create a project etc.,) of those plugins?
May I know in what way Eclipse TPTP is best than the QTP (Quick Test
Professional)? so that it will be very much useful for analysis.

Thanks,
Ganeshraj.S

Hi Ganeshraj,
TPTP provides a framework for creating performance and test tools. We
do provide several test tools build on this framework. For example, JUnit,
JUnit Plug-in, and URL test types (see
http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/topic/org.eclipse.hyades.te st.doc.user/concepts/ccommontestingtasksandconcepts.htm).
In addition, one of our as-is component
( http://wiki.eclipse.org/4.5_Component_Reorganization#Compone nt_Classifications)
called the Automated GUI Recorder (AGR) can be used to record and playback
user gestures with an Eclipse application (see
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/test/documents/gettingstarted/Au tomated_GUI_Recorder_Getting_Started.html).
