I want to know for what this option is good for in the properties view
of the Ecore Diagram Editor? I'm asking because I want to add some
documentation to the metaclasses in my metamodel. I thought that this
options is good for this as the name suggests it. But when I start the
second Eclipse instance with the generated editor I can't see my text in
that field on the elements being instances of the metaclass where I
added the documentation. So for what is it good for?

Ok I did it. And where do I see the documenting text of the metaclass in
the second eclipse instance containing the generated editor?

Gilbert,
I think you need to change Suppress GenModel Annotations to false.
