Hello,
I would like to add the possibility to save and load files to/from the
server in my RAP application, especially a FileDialog widget to browse
each user's directory tree as it exists in every operating system. Each
user will have their own space, and synchronization between sessions will
be taken care of.

RAP doesn't include such widget, does it? Are there some user
contributions to help me getting started? Is such a project useful to be
included in the RAP project?

Cheers
Leif

Leif,

there is an Upload Widget available in the RAP sandbox [1]. Please
refer to the JavaDoc or this newsgroup archive for further information.

I am not asking about upload/download functions, but about saving/loading
files on the SERVER, which is trivial. I don't see where the upload
example comes into play.

I am trying to find out whether somebody has already implemented an UI
part that lets you browse through the directory structure on the SERVER.
Anything that is similar to the GTK/KDE/Microsoft Windows FileDialog
boxes. Stricly speaking this is not a RAP problem, I just want to avoid
reinventing the wheel.

Cheers

Sorry, I misread your question.
