the logic example does this. the LogicContainer is the editpart and the
Circuit figure is an example of a container figure.

i am using containers and they work well.

the only issue with containers i have found is that the children do not
scale with the parent. so, when you move the parent, the children go with
it. but, if you resize the figure, the children remain their original
size. i have spent some time adding this resize functionality, but have
not completed it yet.
