VE opens a second window? [message #137822] Sun, 27 May 2007 21:59 Go to next message

Hi All,

I'm new to Java and also Eclipse.

After reinstalling my notebook, now when I open a visual class in VE, a
second window appears outside Eclipse, with the same layout. It's a like a
mirror of the class being edited.

I've looked into the Preferences and could not find how to disable it.

Does someone know a solution for that ?

Thank you in advance.

Joern Schmidt.

This is actually a second jvm which is used to render the visual class
and javabean and the VE simply uses a screenshot of this window to mimic
the edit on the canvas. The window you are seeing is usually opened
off-screen. There is no preference to disable it and closing it woud
probably result in the loss of the WYSIWYG screenshot in the GE.
