Hy there,

I am currently trying to find my way into Eclipse Intent, the tutorial worked out, except for a minor NPE bug I already reported. Now I am trying to work out the scenario from http://wiki.eclipse.org/Intent/Use_Cases

I see that PluginProject does not really exist; is there anywhere an overview available about what connectors there are? The only thing that seems to work at the moment is the Ecore connector?!

Thanks a lot! marco

Hi Marco,

first of all, thanks for your interest in Intent.

Indeed, from now on Intent only provides synchronization support for any
model (ECore meta-model, UML2, DSLs... see this video
http://www.eclipse.org/intent/pages/transcripts/2012_EclipseConEurope/demos/smartea/Intent_AppliedOnEnterpriseArchitecture.mp4).

Although it is quite easy to write Synchronization Bridges for Intent
(see http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/367801/ ), we decided to
improve the tooling stability and performances before adding new sync.
capabilities.

However, by using Ariadne (http://sbegaudeau.github.com/Ariadne/), a
tool that allows to represent many technical artifacts (java code,
manifests file, mylyn contexts, bugzilla issues, git repositories &
commits, hudson builds, projects meta data...) as models, Intent will be
able to synchronize your doc with your java projects.

Best regards, and please do not hesitate to ask other questions or get
involved in Intent :)
Alex
