Hi Walter,

in 1.2M7 we fixed a bug related to the same issue:

268235: [MouseEvents] Wrong mouse x,y coordinates
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=268235

Why do you think that the mouse position is not correct? Can you provide
more details about your findings? Feel free to reopen the bug with a
snippet that demonstrate this issue.

Best,
Ivan

Sorry this is not M7 problem but occurs even on M6 on IE 8.
Works fine with Firefox though.

please file a bugzilla along with some code or easy steps that show
how to reproduce the problem

Thanks

The problem can be found by accessing www.propertymapz.com in IE 7 and IE 8
Steps to reproduced
Go to www.propertymapz.com
Maximize Zoom Level => Left click on the Map a Balloon appears in IE 7 &
FF at the correct location ( ie where the Mouse points ),
where as when using IE 8 the balloon appears at the wrong position (
sometimes you will never see the balloon as it is positioned outside the
view area ). The best way to get the balloon in IE 8 is to click towards
the left center.
Will provide the snippet when I get time.

Thanks,
Best Regards,
Walter G. Prabhakar.

Walter,

we will have a look at this. As said, I bug entry would help to
track progress on this.

Rüdiger

Hi Walter,

for me it's look like a Google map JS problem. Can you provide a RAP
standalone snippet (without Google map) that demonstrate the wrong mouse
coordinates problem in IE?

Best,
Ivan

Ivan, you are right, it is a bug in Google Map JS.
The workaround as mentioned in the Google site
http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=1 055&q=apitype%3AJavascript&colspec=ID%20Type%20Statu s%20Introduced%20Fixed%20Summary%20Internal%20Stars
is to add
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />

Many thanks Ivan
- Walter.
