Must be a beginner's mistake!
I've been using Eclipse for a couple of months now to develop a java app.
Last week, If ound that I had an empty window floating over the IDE. I can resize and move the window, but I can't close it. No caption, no close button. Actually, no buttons at all.
I don't see it listed in the Eclipse Window menu.
I don't recall exactly what I did to make it appear. May have been a call to Eclipse Help.
In any case, I have tried closing and restarting Eclipse, but the window continues to be there.
Help!
Thanks,
Jim

Might help (be easier to imagine) if you scraped the image and posted it
here. Also, what OS are you using?

I have uploaded a screen shot: EclipseExtraWindow.jpg.
Note that this blank window is resizeable, and moveable. Although it belongs to Eclipse, it is not a child window of the main window since I can move it anywhere on the screen.
How do I get rid of it?
Thanks,
Jim

Ooops!
I just solved my problem. Not sure why or how, but this is what did it:
Highlighted a method in my code. Hit F1 key. This popped up a Help window with information about the method I have highlighted.
When I closed that help window, the extra blank window also disappeared!
