Proxy server username/password and schema caching [message #126540] Wed, 27 July 2005 13:36 Go to next message

Hello all,

I installed WTP 0.7 RC3. It can't get through authenticating proxy
servers yet. It's a little sad to see this bug. We're so close for a 0.7
release. Most people use an authenticating proxy server at work I guess.

In order to use content assist and XML validation I did set up a squid
on a small linux box here. When I configure proxy settings from
Preferences->Internet->Proxy Settings I can see that WTP downloads XSD
documents from the Internet.

The problem is WTP downloads those files over and over again! When I
change a word in web.xml and try to save squid access log is filled with
10 different requests. Is there any way to tell WTP cache those documents?

/tb.

WTP should cache the files if they can be located. You can also manually
add the files to the XML catalog avoiding the internet lookup altogether.
We are looking for a solution to this problem. You can follow the status
at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=82037.
