Hi is it possible to preprocess only a file ?

I try to preprocess an linker file. I would like to have my linker file adjuster with some defines in the project. I use the GNUARM plugin based on CDT.

The plugin try to link the preprocess only file. This is incorrect i thing. This look like similar to

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=171363

Is there an workaround to have this feature working in the current CDT?
