Hello,

Well the problem is still with Security Manager in my land. Trying version 3.5.0.RELEASE works fine using for example this forum:

http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=rview&goto=906483#msg_906483

I can enable the Security Manager indeed by adding the two properties.

Now, how do I enable it in case of the 3.0.3.RELEASE? Adding those two parameters does not work!

Honestly, this gets very frustrating Sad

Hi,

Prior 3.5 we used a different OSGi framework launcher. It was a Virgo custom-tailored one, so it doesn't understand those two properties.
In 3.5 and later we switched to the standard Equinox OSGi launcher which is heavily used at Eclipse and it also brings support for these properties and the Equinox Security.

I'm not sure you can even enable the Equinox Security in 3.0.x or earlier. It could be possible but you'll probably need to do some stuff manually - I haven't tried it.

Best Regards
Bobby

Hello Bobby,

Ok... So how do I enable then this home-grown security manager?

Thank You,
Eugene.
