Can someone tell a beginner how to set up the RWT 1.5 bundle from git to run with a modified javascript? It would also be great to learn how the js gets minimized.

I set
-Dorg.eclipse.rwt.enableUITests=true
-Dorg.eclipse.rwt.clientLibraryVariant=DEBUG

But it pulls only the client.js, this is all I can see. Do I need another parameter to the servlet to make this work?

The project you mentioned refers to the old qx07 bundle and doesn't work for me.
Isn't there any up to date documentation how to set up a rwt dev/debug environment?

Thomas,
only the documentation is not up to date. I'm using this project in my
daily work with RAP 1.5 and 2.0. Use master branch for 1.5 and 2.0 and
1.4-maintenance for RAP 1.4.

I guess you meant https://github.com/ralfstx/rap-clientbuilder for sure
