I'm using SWT in my project (My project does not use eclipse, but is
developed in it). I'm trying to associate the java doc with SWT.jar file,
but I can't. I can find no local copy of it. I can find no downloadable
copy of it. An http: reference doesn't appear to work (I assume because I
have a proxy (though I did set the proxy properties) - Validate... never
asks me for userId/password).

Help!
David

Hi,

You can find the SWT source in the platform source directory (i.e. using
Eclipse 2.1.2 on Windows it is located in
" eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.platform.win32.source_2.1.2\src\ org.eclipse.swt
..win32_2.1.2\ws\win32" directory.). You can assign this as a source
attachment. In this case you got hover and F2 help. If you want to use
external javadoc as well, simply import the SWT sources, export javadoc and
use the exported javadoc.

HTH,
Regards,
Csaba
