Hi All,

I have been working in java / j2ee for the past 6 years.
And has working knowledge of EMF and GMF.

I want to contribute for the new project Model2Text (M2T), need some
help regarding the pre-requisites and the documents / guidelines I need
to read.

Thanks and Regards

Mamta:

There are a number of ways you can contribute to an Eclipse project. The
ultimate goal (for some) is to be a 'committer', but there are other ways,
too. Any of the following would be useful:

* use JET or XPand ( and oAW), and submit defects and enhancements via
bugzilla
* create articles on the above technologies
* even better, employ a technology in a product, and report on you success.
* create patches for defects or enhancements

You should look at the Eclipse Development Process:

http://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/

to get some idea of how Eclipse projects work. In particular, look at the
last section (Meritocracy) to understand how you can achieve Eclipse glory,
and become a 'committer'.

For specific contributions to M2T, we're still in the proposal phase, so
project plans are still a bit nebulous. If you have specific ideas on JET,
let me know. Markus Voelter is your contact point for XPand.
