New synchronize view in M4 - inappropriate refreshes? [message #108855] Wed, 22 October 2003 10:52

Hi,

I've been using the "New Synchronize" view since it was available, and
it's much nicer than the old view in 2.x.

I've noticed something in M4 which I don't think happened in M3 or
earlier. When I do an update from remote, some resources show the
"conflict" decoration where they should be showing the normal incoming
update decoration. This only happens transiently and it doesn't produce
any lasting effects - when the update processing finishes, those resources
are not actually in conflict. I guess the GUI is showing an intermediate
temporary state.

While this isn't a big problem it can be disconcerting to see these
phantom conflicts. It would be nice if the synchronize view was prevented
from refreshing while update operations are ongoing.

Regards,
Neil
