Are the source bundles on the update sites? If not, can they be posted too? I realize that some Eclipse Packages [1]
come with source files. The RCP/Plugin Eclipse Package comes with source for RCP/Platform and PDE. Are all those
source files available from an update site? An example, is the Equinox Registry for Ganymede M4 comes with:

org.eclipse.equinox.registry_3.4.0.v20071203.jar
org.eclipse.equinox.registry.source_3.4.0.v20071203.jar

From the Ganymede update site (or its mirrors [2]), I'm able to download the jar [3] and its packed format [4], but I
can't find the source. I looked here [5] and here [6].

[2] http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/releases /ganymede/site.xml&format=xml&protocol=http
[3] http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede/plugins/org.ec lipse.equinox.registry_3.4.0.v20071203.jar
[4] http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede/plugins/org.ec lipse.equinox.registry_3.4.0.v20071203.jar.pack.gz
[5] http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede/plugins/org.ec lipse.equinox.registry_3.4.0.v20071203.jar
[6] http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede/plugins/org.ec lipse.equinox.registry.source_3.4.0.v20071203.jar.pack.gz

This would make a really nice get the source for feature/plugins that aren't shipped with the platform.

thoughts?

IMHO the source should be there. If it is missing from the Ganymeded
update site please enter a bug against Eclipse
Foundation/Community/Cross-project.
